Certificates of reserved category candidates involved in the ongoing recruitment for the post of assistant teacher in government primary schools will be checked. In the case of successful candidates, a report will have to be submitted within 15 days after investigation. Education Secretary Ravinath Raman said in the order issued, the Directorate of Education had sought guidelines from the government as to whether those who have obtained caste certificate on the basis of husband in Uttarakhand state should be given the benefit of reservation in the appointment process or not. In the government order of the Personnel Department dated October 10, 2002, it has been said that Uttaranchal state has been separately marked in the fifth and sixth schedule of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Reorganization Act.
Candidate’s application will be cancelled
A person from Uttar Pradesh or any other state other than Uttaranchal state will not be able to get the benefit of reservation allowed for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe in the state services of Uttaranchal. Apart from this, the order of the Personnel Department dated 16 February 2004 states that the certificates of the candidates from the reserved category among the successful candidates in the examinations will be verified by the District Magistrates of the respective districts before issuing their appointment orders. If any certificate is found to be fake or wrongly issued in the investigation, then the application of the candidate will be cancelled.
