Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has justified the action being taken against illegal madrasas in the state. He said that action against illegal madrasas and encroachment will continue in the state. He said that a verification campaign will be started in the state soon. If anyone comes from outside to the state hiding his identity, action will be taken against him. Talking to reporters at a program on Thursday, Chief Minister Dhami said that it is necessary to save the original form of Devbhoomi. He said that action has been taken in about 160 cases of encroachment and illegal occupation in the state. The state government’s action against illegal madrasas and encroachment will continue. He said that we will ensure the safety of the people coming to the state, but action will be taken against those who come hiding their identity. He said that an investigation will also be started into the source of funding of those doing illegal work in the state. Everyone should have the habit of living with the law. If someone wants to do education or any other kind of work, the government will encourage him. On the threat of agitation for not releasing the list on illegal funding of Congress, Chief Minister Dhami said that Congress protests on every issue. If Congress and other parties come forward in the interest of Devbhoomi, they will be welcomed. At the same time, Rajya Sabha member Naresh Bansal said that Congress should stop opposing illegal madrasas and supporting jihad in Uttarakhand. He said that Congress should understand that this country will be run by the Constitution, not Sharia. He said that Uttarakhand is a Sanatan state. Congress leaders sometimes talk about opening a Muslim University here and sometimes oppose action against illegal madrasas. Now they are openly glorifying and supporting jihad and hurting sentiments. The national and state leadership of Congress should tell what their thinking is about jihad.
