Under the scheme, 150 boys and 150 girls in the age group of 8 to 14 have been selected from each district. Similarly, 3900 students have been selected from the state. They will be given a scholarship of Rs 1500 per month. The Chief Minister distributed checks to the players during the programme.
This scheme will prove to be a boon for the budding players of Uttarakhand. With an incentive of Rs 1500, children will also be able to arrange for themselves food, sports kits, etc. Now it is necessary that these children should be given special training. Because, the players will get the benefit of incentive money only when they improve their game day by day. It is necessary to review the eligible children of this scheme every year.

This scheme will encourage young players. Parents will also motivate their children to play. In the coming time, players of national and international level will also be able to meet from these players. Considering the efforts of the players, the amount of scholarship should be increased in the coming time.
-KK Chakraborty, Guardian:
If this plan is taken seriously on the ground, then in the coming years these players will be ready for the Olympic and international level. To improve these players, better coaches should also be appointed, who review their performance regularly and explain to them the difference between right and wrong.
