Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a relief amount of Rs 56.30 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to various affected businessmen due to damage to the pedestrian and motor road from Lincholi to Sonprayag due to heavy rains in Kedarnath area on July 31 this year. Earlier also, the Chief Minister has approved an amount of Rs 9 crore 08 lakh for the affected businessmen. Secretary Chief Minister Shailesh Bagoli has clarified in a letter issued to the District Magistrate Rudraprayag that an amount of Rs 56.30 lakh has been approved on his request. This amount is in addition to the previously approved Rs 9 crore 08 lakh. Secretary Chief Minister informed that after due deliberation at the government level in respect of the proposal, it was decided on the instructions of the Chief Minister that the above amount has been sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as per the proposal received from District Magistrate Rudraprayag for compensation of the affected people of heavy rains from Lincholi to Sonprayag. He has also clarified that before making payment of the sanctioned amount to the affected people, the cases will be tested as per the provisions made in the relevant government orders and after verification of the affected people as per the rules, payment will be ensured through e-banking as far as possible after being fully satisfied. Where there is no facility of e-banking, the amount will be distributed through demand draft.
After distribution of the sanctioned amount from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the affected people, instructions have also been given in the mentioned government order to keep the details of the beneficiaries safe at the district level such as name, address, telephone number etc.
