Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed the secretaries in charge of all the districts to review the development works of the districts regularly. He directed to solve the problems raised by the MLAs expeditiously and not to cause unnecessary delay in the normally running process. The Chief Minister said that special care should be taken that minor problems should not be kept in the high-level review meetings. The District Magistrate should solve these problems at the district level itself.
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the ongoing development works and schemes in the assembly constituencies under Tehri Lok Sabha constituency at Chief Minister’s residence. In the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the steps taken by the departments to solve the problems being faced during the review meeting of the assembly constituencies should be regularly monitored.
He said that the departmental secretaries should regularly review the ongoing departmental works in the assembly constituencies. The Chief Minister instructed to hold a meeting every three months to review the development works of the assembly constituencies. He said that what efforts have been made to solve the problems put forth by the MLAs in this meeting should be reviewed in the next meeting.
Chief Minister Dhami said that there are immense possibilities in the field of horticulture, agriculture and tourism in Uttarakhand. Rapid steps should be taken in the direction of increasing livelihood in these areas. Migration will stop as residents get more and more self-employment opportunities at the local level. He instructed the officers to ensure proper arrangements for drinking water supply in view of summer.
The MLAs present in the meeting raised the problems of road construction, improving health facilities, flood protection work, drinking water problem, garbage disposal, drainage and sewerage. The Chief Minister said that all possible solutions will be given to the problems raised by the MLAs.
