Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the government will never back down from taking strictest action against anyone who insults the daughter. Our daughters are our pride, honor and pride. May they go ahead fearlessly and make their dreams come true. The CM said this on National Girl Child Day as the chief guest in a seminar organized by the Women’s Commission at the Multipurpose Hall at the Parade Ground.
In a seminar organized on the topic of women’s participation in sports, the Chief Minister said that daughters have made a different place for themselves in every field. From education to sports and from scientific research to military campaigns, our daughters are actively participating. The state government has made a provision to give 30 percent reservation to women in government jobs. He said that a few months back, the state government had transferred Rs 323 crore to 80,000 girls of the state under the “Nanda Gaura Yojana”.
Which will certainly help in laying the foundation for a better future for our daughters. The Chief Minister said that there has been an increase in the enrollment of girls in schools, there has also been an improvement in the sex ratio, it is clear that the various schemes being run for the girls are being successful. Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya said that the State Women’s Commission is organizing a seminar on girls focusing on sports, this is a commendable initiative.
Efforts have been made to provide all possible facilities in the new sports policy in the state so that the girls in the state progress rapidly in the field of sports. The amount given to the players for food has been increased from Rs.150 to Rs.175. About 3900 children in the state are being given scholarship of Rs 1500 per child under the Mukhyamantri Udiyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana, in which 50 percent are girls. MLA Khajan Das, Savita Kapoor, State Women’s Commission President Kusum Kandwal, Sports Director Jitendra Sonkar and girls from different areas of the state were present in the programme.
