Like every year, this time also on 2nd October, the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister of the country Lal Bahadur Shastri is being celebrated. Today the Father of the Nation is being remembered and tributes are being paid to him all over the country. On this day, from the capital Delhi to Uttarakhand, oath is being taken to follow the path shown by Bapu. Today, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to him. By sharing a video on his official Twitter handle, CM Dhami wished the people of the state on Gandhi Jayanti.

Cleanliness campaign is being run
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, a special cleanliness campaign will be run in many districts of Uttarakhand, in which public representatives, common people, businessmen, officers, employees and voluntary organizations as well as environmental friends of the district will participate. On October 1, a cleanliness program will be organized in the Municipality, Nagar Panchayats and Gram Panchayats of the district. On this special occasion, emphasis will be laid on cleanliness.
