Players from hilly areas have also been given place in the team. Apart from this, players coming from rural areas have secured their place in the team. Vaishali Tulera, daughter of Surendra Singh Tulera, resident of Nainital (Bindukhatta Shastri Nagar) has also been selected in the team. Even before this, Bindukhatta has given many women players to Uttarakhand. Before this, Lakshmi Basera, Jyoti Giri, Shagun Chaudhary and Gayatri Arya have also been part of the Uttarakhand team.

Cricket Association of Uttarakhand has been the winner of the BCCI tournament twice and the women’s under-19 team has achieved this feat both times. This time the team will be eyeing a hat-trick.
