PM Modi on Friday announced to honor three personalities of the country with Bharat Ratna in a single day. Prime Minister Modi has written in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that it is the good fortune of our government that former Prime Minister of the country Chaudhary Charan Singh is being honored with Bharat Ratna. This honor is dedicated to his incomparable contribution to the country. He had dedicated his entire life to the rights of farmers and their welfare. The Prime Minister further wrote about Narasimha Rao in the post that Narasimha Rao served India extensively in various capacities as a distinguished scholar and statesman. Narasimha Rao’s tenure as a Prime Minister will be remembered for important measures. During his tenure, India was opened up to global markets, leading to a new era of economic growth.
