
After the incidents in Banbhulpura area of Haldwani, the Chief Minister is continuously keeping an eye on the situation. In a meeting with senior officials on Friday morning, he directed that the incident of attack on police and administration personnel and creating unrest in the area should be taken seriously and the strictest action should be taken against the unruly elements. In the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence, the Chief Minister directed that steps should be taken in constant coordination with the District Magistrate of Nainital. He asked the Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) and DM of Nainital to take strict action against the culprits of the incident and ensure peace and order in the area. Also said that each and every rioter who indulged in arson and stone pelting should be identified and action should be taken against them. Those who play with law and order will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He instructed Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order AP Anshuman to camp in the affected area. Special Principal Secretary and Additional Director General of Police Amit Sinha, Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagoli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Secretary JC Kandpal and other officers were present in the meeting.
