Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the thinking of the Congress has always been anti-Ambedkar. Congress has always insulted, mocked and shamed him. Today it is pretending to demand rights in his name. He said that people doing divisive politics in the country are distorting a small part of Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement to grab headlines.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Tuesday, Chief Minister Dhami said that the Congress should apologize unconditionally to the whole country for the insult done to Babasaheb Ambedkar by Congress leaders and Pandit Nehru. He said that when any person resigns from the Council of Ministers, he is given a chance to speak in the House, but after the resignation of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, he was not even allowed to speak in the House.
Congress always insulted Babasaheb – Dhami
In his resignation, Babasaheb Ambedkar has written a lot against Pandit Nehru. He wrote that only Muslims were taken care of. Scheduled castes and tribes were not given proper protection. Congress is pretending to hold press conferences against BJP across the country. The Congress which always insulted him and did not even allow him to become a member of the Constituent Assembly, is today pretending to love Babasaheb.
Congress should stop its hypocrisy – Dhami
He said that the Congress which defeated him in the 1952 Lok Sabha elections and the 1954 by-elections, the party which forced him to resign from the post of Law Minister, the great son who was not given Bharat Ratna and neither did they allow a single memorial to be built for him, today they are holding press conferences in his name. Congress should stop this hypocrisy.
BJP state president also surrounded Congress
On the other hand, BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt has also hit back at the statements of Congress leaders. He said that those who give reservation for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes to Muslims in their governments are now spreading lies in the name of Babasaheb. He said that Congress is the same party which wants to increase the reservation limit to more than 50 percent to benefit its minority vote bank. He also challenged the local Congress leaders to clarify whether they are in favour of this.
