
The state government has banned the arrangement of VIP darshan in all the four Dhams till May 31. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the Chardham Yatra arrangements and gave instructions in this regard. Following his instructions, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has written a letter to the Chief Secretaries of all the states informing them of this decision. It has also been requested from all the states that arrangements have been made for mandatory registration for Chardham Yatra. The state should give it wide publicity for the convenience of the devotees. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who was involved in the BJP’s election campaign, returned to Dehradun on Thursday after postponing all political programs and took command himself to ensure a well-organized journey. Here he reviewed the Chardham Yatra arrangements in the Secretariat and gave strict instructions to the officials.
Visit Ground Zero to see travel arrangements
He instructed the police and administration officials to visit Ground Zero and look at the travel arrangements for a safe and smooth Chardham Yatra. The devotees coming on the yatra should be sent for darshan as per the capacity fixed in the four Dhams. The system of registration of devotees should be strengthened. Only after registration the devotees should be sent beyond the check point. He instructed the transport, revenue and police departments to jointly investigate the check post. He requested all the devotees to come for darshan only after health checkup and seeing the weather forecast. The Chief Minister directed the officials that all the information related to the Chardham Yatra arrangements should be clearly conveyed to the general public. Special attention should be given to crowd management and travel management.
The Chief Minister took information about the arrangements from the District Magistrates of Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Uttarkashi. He said that whatever necessary arrangements related to the yatra are requested from the district administration, they should be resolved immediately.
