Transport Corporation was formed in 2003
After the formation of the state, Transport Corporation was formed in the year 2003. The corporation’s share was 957 buses from Uttar Pradesh Roadways. Most of these buses were old. Due to operation of old buses, liabilities and mismanagement, the Transport Corporation continued to incur losses. During the Corona period, the Transport Corporation had reached a loss of Rs 520 crore. After taking charge of the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave instructions to all the departments for good governance. While reviewing the public transport corporation himself, he gave the responsibility of its improvement to the officials. As a result, in the year 2022, the Transport Corporation made a profit of Rs 29 crore, making up for the loss of Rs 520 crore. Even during the second term of Dhami government, the corporation set an example of good governance by earning a profit of Rs 27 crore. In the last two and a half years, the corporation has earned a profit of Rs 56 crore after meeting all the expenses.
