He has asked to focus on the possibilities of literature and fine arts centers in the state so that the youth of the state can get an opportunity to connect with films as well as literature and various genres of folk culture and folk art. The Chief Minister said that it should be our endeavor to enable our youth to connect with the state’s folk traditions and rich cultural heritage with a positive attitude.

Central Film Censor Board Chairman Prashun Joshi met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Secretariat on Tuesday. Discussions were held on topics related to promotion of various genres of film production, music, theatrical culture and literature in the state.

The Chief Minister directed that along with the early finalization of the under-construction cultural center and museum, arrangements should be ensured for its effective use. He said that attention should also be paid to the arrangement of such events in the state, so that the country and the world can become a participant in making the identity of the state in various fields. Crores of people coming to our place will also be able to connect with the culture, art and folk genre of the state with our efforts.

Need for setting up of Film Institute:
Central Board of Film Censor Chairman Prasoon Joshi suggested that Uttarakhand is a state with potential for cultural identity along with film production. With a view to the future, the youth of the state will be able to connect with different genres of film making and become familiar with the innovations taking place in this field.
He also suggested to the Chief Minister to organize a three-day festival in order to broaden the subjects related to folk culture, music, drama and literature in the state.
He said that the participation of people related to this region living in the country and abroad in this event will give it more scope and will also help in connecting people with their culture.
