After the formation of the state, cases of encroachment of government land, especially forest land, in Uttarakhand increased continuously. The people who came from outside, apart from erecting religious structures, also started farming according to acres. CM Dhami identified all these encroachers and gave instructions for action.
In the last one and a half months, more than 2100 acres of land has been vacated. Apart from this, 450 illegal tombs were also demolished after notice. Speaking to reporters at Circuit House on Friday afternoon, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Goth Khatte will not disturb the people associated with old settlements like Vangram. But those involved in changing the demography of the state with the help of encroachment will not be spared.

From Circuit House, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the residence of BJP District President Pratap Bisht. Expressing condolences on the demise of Bisht’s mother Basanti Devi, CM said that he is standing with the family in this hour of grief. When asked about the possibilities of postponing the body elections of journalists in the circuit house, the CM said that everything will be done as per the process. At the same time, the CM said that Haldwani will be developed on the lines of a smart city. Talking to the media, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that basic facilities will be provided in Haldwani under the PM’s announcement.
Work will be done on parking, road, drinking water, sewage etc. PM Narendra Modi had announced this package. Therefore, instructions have been given to the officials to complete the process soon. A project worth about 2200 crores is being prepared through ADB.

At the same time, the CM said that the problems related to electricity, water, roads etc. should be removed in time. 1064 number should be advertised in every government office. At the same time, while appealing to the public, he said that if any kind of demand is being made then call on this number. The government has resolved that by 2025, Uttarakhand will be made a corruption-free state.
