On the lines of SDRF and Police, now Home Guards jawans will also be given an incentive of Rs 200 per day for deployment at places above nine thousand feet. This announcement was made by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on the foundation day of Home Guards and Civil Defense Organization. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also made many important announcements. Appreciating the dedication of the Home Guards, he said that the Home Guards jawans work with the spirit of ‘Jahan Kam Wahan Hum’. He is very happy to see this.
The Foundation Day Parade was organized at the Home Guards Headquarters campus in Nanurkheda. On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took the salute of the parade. He also released the Souvenir 2024 and Departmental Calendar 2025 of the Home Guards and Civil Defense Department. The Chief Minister said that if a unique example of national service is seen clearly anywhere, then it is found only by coming among the soldiers. The Home Guards organization works actively for social security and law and order control in the state. They are ready to fulfill their responsibilities in every situation. Home Guards also play an important role in maintaining law and order, controlling traffic, and religious events like Chardham Yatra, Kumbh Mela and Kanwar Yatra. These soldiers work with the spirit of ‘Jahan Kam Wahan Hum’. Their contribution is also important during natural disasters.
Keeping this in mind, the government is doing many works for the upliftment of the organization. A state-of-the-art indoor firing range is being constructed in Premnagar for the Home Guards. This will benefit the Home Guards in weapon training. The facility of CSD canteen has also been started on the lines of army soldiers. The government has also taken decisions like providing 12 casual leaves to the Home Guards, setting up company offices at nine places and emergency and rescue centers. On this occasion, MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, Khajan Das, former Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, Home Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, DGP Deepam Seth, Commandant General Home Guards PVK Prasad, Chief State Information Commissioner Vivek Sharma etc. were present.

– Trained Home Guards will get an incentive of Rs 100 per day on deployment with SDRF jawans.
– Gazetted and non-gazetted officers and employees of the Home Guards Department will now be given uniform allowance every year instead of every three years.
– The ex-gratia amount given to every Home Guards who complete the superannuation age of 60 years from the Home Guards Welfare Fund will be increased by Rs 50 thousand.
