To avoid inconvenience to the pilgrims coming to Chardham in the state, the government has required the pilgrims to undertake Chardham Yatra only on the dates of registration. It has been clarified that registration is mandatory for Chardham Yatra. On behalf of Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, this information has also been sent to the Chief Secretaries of all the states. Along with this, they have been requested to share the guidelines issued regarding the journey and convey this information to the concerned officials of the states and the general public. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is continuously holding review meetings to organize the Chardham Yatra. Following his instructions, the Chief Secretary has informed all the states about the steps taken by the state government regarding the conduct of Chardham Yatra. It has been told that the devotees should come for the yatra only on the dates for which they have registered. This will help in controlling the number of passengers and making arrangements.
Will not be allowed to proceed without registration
It has also been told that the devotees who have not registered for the Chardham Yatra will be stopped at the check point on the yatra route and will not be allowed to proceed further without registration. He has asked the devotees making bookings from tour and travels agencies to ensure that they follow the registration system as per rules. The Chief Secretary expected that the vehicle should be operated after making a trip card. He has appealed to all the states to give wide publicity to these guidelines while supporting the smooth conduct of Chardham Yatra.
