Pushkar Singh Dhami government fulfilled the much awaited demand of thousands of LT teachers working in government secondary schools of the state. These teachers of divisional cadre will now get the right to change division once in their entire service period. The Cabinet approved the decision to provide him the facility of one-time inter-divisional transfer. The Cabinet also approved the budget for the financial year 2024-25 and the Governor’s address. The size of the new budget is said to be around Rs 90 thousand crores. It is believed that the government will present the new budget on the table of the House during the assembly session on February 27. Many important decisions were taken in the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
The decisions of the Cabinet were not briefed due to the issuance of notification of the Assembly session. According to sources, the Cabinet fulfilled the demand of LT cadre teachers working in government secondary schools. Teachers working in Assistant Teacher LT pay scale will now get the opportunity to change divisional cadre once in service.
For this, the Cabinet approved the amendment in the related rules. More than 20 thousand LT teachers will benefit from this decision of the government. The delegation of the Government Teachers Association had met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the month of January last regarding the demands of the teachers. The Chief Minister had assured positive action on the demands. The cabinet completed it.
