According to sources, Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai (Seni), chairperson of the expert committee formed to draft the Uniform Civil Code, was also present on this occasion. The Chief Minister also invited the Union Home Minister for the All India Police Science Conference and the Central Regional Council meeting starting from October 7 in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Delhi on Wednesday and discussed many topics. During this, the draft of Uniform Civil Code was also discussed. The state government had recently extended the tenure of the expert committee formed to prepare the draft by another four months. In the meeting with the Union Home Minister, the Chief Minister also discussed with the Union Home Minister regarding the proposed global investors conference in the state.

He informed the Home Minister about the disaster caused by excessive rainfall in the state and also kept the details of the landslide disaster in Joshimath and the findings of the report received from central agencies in this regard. He also urged the Union Home Minister to provide appropriate financial assistance to the state in view of the damage caused by the disaster. Regarding the meeting with the Union Home Minister, the Chief Minister said that he also discussed with the Home Minister the meeting of the Central Regional Council and the All India Police Science Conference.
