The forest department used its full strength
The forest department has used all its strength to extinguish the forest fire. From field personnel to senior officers of the headquarters have also been assigned to the management and control of the fire. Senior officers posted at Forest Department Headquarters level have also been sent to the districts. In this, cooperation is also being provided by various officers and employees of the district administration. As per rules, action is being taken against those who are negligent, piles of debris generated from clearing of fields in agricultural land, burning garbage in an unsafe manner near forest areas, smoking in forest areas, improper disposal of other inflammable materials. In the forest fire incidents, 63 percent of the fires have been brought under control in the last two days.
Chief Minister Dhami will review forest fire prevention measures today
In view of the increasing incidents of forest fire in the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has decided to postpone his previously scheduled programs and return back to Dehradun. He will review the efforts being made to prevent forest fires in different parts of the state at the Secretariat on Wednesday. He will also review the proper arrangements for drinking water in view of the summer season and the preparations being made for the upcoming monsoon season. At the same time, in view of the increasing incidents of fire, the government has banned burning of crop remains and stubble. The Chief Agriculture Officer will monitor such incidents. If any person is found violating this, we will ensure action against the person concerned. At present, forest fires are breaking out in various districts of the state. Will review the preparations being made for traffic management
