This Diwali is going to be difficult for the daily workers working in the forest department and their families. The employees have not been paid honorarium for the last one year. 25 daily forest workers are giving their services under the CAMPA scheme in Kalsi Forest Division. They are given the work of planting trees in the protected forest area and taking care of the planted trees. Apart from this, the department also takes from them the work of patrolling and other work done through the forest department. In lieu of work, the workers are given an honorarium of Rs 9532 per month. But, the employees have not received honorarium for the last one year. Due to this, it is becoming difficult for them to arrange the goods for the daily needs of their families. In such a situation, this festival of Diwali is going to be painful for the employees instead of happiness. Daily forest workers Daulat Singh, Sompal, Mohandas, Shyam Singh, Padam Singh said that all the daily workers come from economically weak families. They feed their families by doing hard work. Due to not getting money, they are facing livelihood crisis. How will they celebrate festivals in such a situation?
