The Antyodaya ration card holders of the state will get the facility of three free LPG cylinders in a year till the year 2027. Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal approved the Food Department’s proposal to extend the Chief Minister’s Free Three LPG Cylinder Scheme till the year 2027. The ruling party BJP had promised to give free LPG cylinders to poor women in the 2022 assembly elections. In this regard, the announcement of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was implemented in the year 2022-23. This scheme ended in the financial year 2023-24 i.e. on March 31.
Budget not released yet
However, the budget for this scheme has not been released yet in the financial year 2024-25. Last Monday, Food Minister Rekha Arya had given instructions to release the budget for the free LPG cylinder scheme for 1.84 lakh Antyodaya ration card holders in the departmental review meeting. On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Food Department prepared a proposal to extend this scheme till the year 2027. Chief Minister Dhami said that we had made this promise before the assembly elections. The government is taking every possible step to empower the mother power. This scheme is also an important part of it.
