Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given a gift of Rs 67.16 crore to the residents of Dehradun district. He has inaugurated 15 schemes of seven departments and 11 schemes of four departments of the above cost through virtual medium from Nainital. On Thursday, Dehradun district in-charge minister Subodh Uniyal laid the foundation stone of the schemes at the Himalayan Cultural Center located in Lemonwala. Said that today the entire state has got the gift of schemes worth thousands of crores. Which will prove helpful in making the state an ideal state by the year 2025 when it completes 25 years. On this occasion, a total of eight schemes of the Irrigation Department were inaugurated and the foundation stone of two schemes was laid, costing Rs 26.75 crore and Rs 4.71 crore respectively.
Out of these, two schemes each of Sahaspur and Vikasnagar assembly and one scheme each of Raipur, Mussoorie, Kalsi and Chakrata have been inaugurated and the foundation stone of one scheme of Vikasnagar and Chakrata assembly has been laid. Through these schemes, farmers will get adequate amount of water for irrigation.
A total of four schemes of the Public Works Department were inaugurated and the foundation stone of seven schemes was laid. Its cost is Rs 5.35 crore and Rs 17.35 crore. Of these, two schemes each of Rajpur and Cantt assembly were inaugurated and foundation stone of two schemes of Doiwala assembly and one scheme each of Sahaspur, Rajpur, Raipur, Rishikesh and Dharampur were laid. Under these schemes, asphalting of motor roads, improvement of roads, construction-widening of drains and improvement of riding quality for Uttarakhand Global Summit program are to be done. On this occasion, information about the schemes run by various departments was given to the public through stalls. Minister Uniyal inspected the stalls set up by various departments.

Laying the foundation stone of construction work of segregation plant on 0.96 hectare land for solid waste management worth Rs 3.50 crore.
In order to provide pure drinking water to the villagers, drinking water scheme has been launched in Ghamandpur by the Jal Nigam in Vidhan Sabha Doiwala at a cost of Rs 1.75 crore.
The veterinary hospital built at Balawala of Doiwala Assembly with a cost of Rs 1.57 crore was inaugurated.
The foundation stone of non-residential buildings of Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Kandoli was laid for Rs. 1.21 crore for the accommodation of personnel.
