Huge crowd of devotees in Kedarnath Dham, the doors of the temple will be closed for winter tomorrow

admin October 26, 2022

The doors of Lord Kedarnath, which are included in the Dwadash Jyotirlingas, will be closed for the winter by law on October 27 i.e. on Bhaiya Dooj festival with Vedic chants and mythological traditions.
On Wednesday, the Panchmukhi Utsav Doli of the Lord will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. At the same time, the doors of Maa Gaura Mai located at Gaurikund will also be closed for winter on this day. The temple committee has started preparations for closing the doors.
Visited Kedarnath of former Chief Minister Dr Ramesh Nishank on Wednesday. During this, he felt difficulty in breathing, he was also given oxygen for some time in the safe house. After this he left for Badrinath Dham.

According to the mythological tradition, the doors will be closed on the festival of Bhaiya Dooj:
The doors of Kedarnath temple will be closed on the Bhaiya Dooj festival as per the mythological tradition. The doors of Kedarnath Dham will be closed for the winter this year with mythological rituals on Thursday i.e. Bhaiya Dooj festival. On Thursday morning, special worship will be started in the sanctum sanctorum of the chief priest T. Gangadhar Linga temple from 3 am.
After offering Bhog to the Lord, the devotees will have darshan, after which the doors of the sanctum sanctorum will be closed after worshiping the Lord. The main doors of the temple will be closed at 8.30 am.
After the closure of the doors, the Panchmukhi Utsav Doli of God will reach the first stop for night rest, on October 28, the festival doli of Bhole Baba will reach Vishwanath Temple Guptkashi for night rest and on October 29, Panchgaddishal Omkareshwar Temple will reach Uukhimath. For the six months of winter, winter worship of Lord Kedarnath will be held here and devotees will be able to have darshan.
At the same time, on October 27, at eight o’clock in the morning, the doors of Gouramai located in Gaurikund will be closed for winter. After doing a parikrama of the mother’s doli, Gauri will leave for the village. For the six months of winter, the worship of Maa Gouramai will be done here.

Badri-Kedar Temple Committee started preparations:
It is believed that before reaching Gaurikund, the festival doli of Lord Shiva from Kailash takes the doli out of the sanctum sanctorum and leaves for its winter seat, so that Baba Kedar and Gouramai cannot meet.
Here, Lord Shiva fought with Parvati’s part-made son, Ganesh, and Gouramai was annoyed by cutting his head, due to which she could not meet Shiva. The Badri-Kedar temple committee has started preparations to close both the doors.
Ajendra Ajay, president of Badri-Kedar Temple Committee, said that all preparations have been started for closing the doors of Kedarnath temple. All the pujas will be started in the temple from 3 am on 27th October. The doors of the temple will be closed for the winter season at exactly 8.30 am. On the same day, the doors of Gouramai will also be closed.
