As the time of flag hoisting in Sri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib is approaching, the faith of the devotees is also increasing. For this grand hoisting ceremony to be held on March 30, the sewing of the cover for the 86 feet high and 30 inches thick flag in the court will start from today. Sangat is reaching Darbar Sahib to witness this moment. Darbar Sahib is being decorated with lights and flowers. This time the Darbar Sahib complex will be monitored by 42 CCTV cameras. Shops have started being set up in the complex.
The fair will continue till Ram Navami on 17th April.
On the fifth day of Holi i.e. Krishna Panchami of Chaitra month, the historic flag fair starts with the hoisting of the flag at Darbar Sahib. This time the fair will continue till Ram Navami on 17th April. On Tuesday also, the process of arrival of Sangat from Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh continued. During this, the Sajjadanshin of Darbar Sahib Shri Mahant Devendra Das Maharaj gave darshan to the Sangat. Shri Jhande ji also gave necessary guidelines to the fair organizing committee. Committee co-administrator Vijay Gulati said that all the preparations are being finalized by the committee. Shops have also been decorated in the Darbar Sahib complex. On Friday, the Eastern Sangat will bid farewell by taking turban, prasad, talisman and blessings from the Sajjadanshin of Darbar Sahib, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Maharaj. Artisans are preparing the swing for the fair.
Regarding the preparations for the fair, he said that this time 42 CCTVs have been operated at the fair venue for surveillance. 25 fire extinguishers have been installed at the fair site. On behalf of the committee, 35 security guards and 500 Sangat volunteers will serve for the fair arrangements, discipline arrangements and operational work. The team of doctors and nursing staff of Shrimahant Indiresh Hospital will be available at the Mela Hospital. Free medicines will be provided by the hospital. Two ambulances will be available to support the Mela Hospital.
Bhakti Sarovar ready in Darbar Sahib on the lines of Gurudwara Amritsar
This time during the hoisting of the flag, the Sangat will see the Bhakti Sarovar located in the Darbar premises in a different form. Work on this has been going on for the last one year. Rajendra Dhyani, special officer of Shri Jhande Ji Fair Organizing Committee, said that the Bhakti Sarovar here is being prepared on the lines of Gurudwara Amritsar. In which there will be pure water throughout the year. The Sangat attending the Jhandeji fair for the first time will get to see this amazing sight. It will look even more attractive at night with colorful lights. The work of finalizing it is in full swing.
