The main opposition party Congress has announced to raise this issue in the House. Chief Minister Dhami has taken the vocal voices regarding encroachment seriously. On Tuesday, he said that government employees will not harass any citizen while removing encroachment from government land along the roads. No legitimate construction will be vandalized.
District Magistrate should ensure
CM Dhami said that the District Magistrate will ensure that the citizens are not harassed in the anti-encroachment proceedings of any department. Also, no action will be taken until it is confirmed that the construction is in government land and it is necessary to remove the illegal construction.
Strict action will be taken against land jihad
However, Chief Minister Dhami has shown no signs of softening his tough stance on land jihad. He reiterated that action against encroachments on forest land or government land in the name of land jihad will not be stopped. This action will continue.
