
Old age pension will be distributed on the scheduled date with the message of the Chief Minister every month in the state. Chief Minister Dhami reviewed the game changer schemes of the Social Welfare, Women Empowerment as well as Tribal Welfare Department in the Secretariat. He said that the objective of the officers should be to give better results of the works related to public service. It is necessary to test the output of the department to see to what extent the objective of providing the benefits of welfare schemes to the beneficiaries has been met. Expressing the need to work dedicatedly and committedly in the development of the state, he said that the government is providing a better environment. If everyone works together, the state will develop better. He talked about stopping the system of deputation of officers in future. Schemes with average performance will be made effective
The Chief Minister said that the schemes with average performance in the study report issued by the Planning Department should be made more useful. He laid special emphasis on improving the implementation of Pre-Secondary Scholarship Scheme, Atal Housing Scheme and schemes for SC category. While reviewing the Child Development and Women Welfare Department, the Chief Minister said that currently 46 percent of women in the state are suffering from malnutrition and anemia. The department should make a concrete action plan to solve this problem. He directed to take public suggestions on the proposals to be placed in the cabinet regarding welfare schemes.
Speed up the implementation of central schemes
Instructions were given to make proper arrangements for the care of pregnant women in remote areas in the nearest government hospitals before delivery. He asked to work on the construction of Chief Minister Mother-Child Shubh Jeevan Protsahan Yojana, Chief Minister Single Women Self-Employment Promotion Scheme and working women hostels in the state in a timely manner. Along with paying attention to the schemes made for the disabled and students, instructions were also given to speed up the implementation of central schemes like Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Shilpi Gram Yojana.
Population increased by 51 percent in Uttarakhand
The Chief Minister said that demographic changes are happening rapidly in the state. It is necessary to pay attention to this. The population of the country was 105.79 crores in the year 2000, which increased to 143.81 crores in the year 2023. In Uttarakhand, the population increased from 84 lakhs to 1.27 crores during the same period.
