
The heat has started increasing due to dry weather in the plains of Uttarakhand. Partial clouds are also hovering at some places in the mountainous regions. There was a temporary relief from the heat due to wind blowing in the afternoon on Thursday. A slight drop in maximum temperature was recorded in most areas. However, the mercury has been rising continuously for the last few days. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is forecast to remain dry for the entire next week. Due to which the mercury can rise rapidly. Heat can make people miserable in the first week of April itself. On Thursday, the weather remained dry since morning in most areas including Doon. There was bright sunshine till noon. However, some relief was felt due to light wind blowing in the afternoon.
Instant relief from heat on Thursday due to wind blowing in the afternoon
Partial clouds are also hovering at some places in the mountainous regions. Along with this, the maximum temperature in most areas was recorded two degrees Celsius lower than last Thursday. However, the mercury still remains two to four degrees Celsius higher. Khatima was the hottest place in the state (36 degrees Celsius) and Mussoorie was the least hot (22 degrees Celsius).

The temperature in Doon remained two degrees Celsius above normal. Along with this, the minimum temperature is also increasing continuously. In the last one week, the temperature has increased by two to four degrees Celsius in most areas.
