
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s attitude towards corruption is going to be more strict. During his tenure of last three years, a total of 66 personnel were trapped in such cases, while 72 corrupt people were taken into custody. Revenue, Police and Electricity Department had the highest number of personnel among those trapped. The Chief Minister said that strict action will be taken after conducting a thorough investigation on the complaints of corruption. To stop corruption, every department will appoint a nodal officer and will also train them. He directed to transfer the officers and employees posted at one place for a long time from time to time.
Review of 1064 helpline for corruption complaints
Chief Minister Dhami reviewed the 1064 helpline for corruption complaints at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday. During this, it was told that in the year 2025, 343 complaints related to corruption were received so far from toll free number 1064 and website. Action on these is in progress. Under the revolving fund, the process of getting the trap money back to the complainants in the trap proceedings has been started. Currently, the process of giving back this amount to 33 persons is going on. The Chief Minister said that all departments will have to cooperate with Vigilance to keep the helpline effective. All departments should make efforts at their level for a corruption-free Uttarakhand. Appropriate action should be taken to resolve the cases in which more complaints are being received in the departments.
CM Helpline 1905 as well as 1064 will also be reviewed
The Chief Minister said that along with CM Helpline 1905, Helpline 1064 will also be reviewed. The department should also ensure that the confidentiality of the complainant is maintained. If the complaints are found to be correct, the complainants should be encouraged.
