Proposals for modern madrasas were passed in the board meeting of Uttarakhand Waqf Board. There was a consensus on setting up modern madrasas in Dehradun’s Reetha Mandi, Khatima, Roorkee, Ramnagar. NCERT books will be implemented in all madrasas. Apart from this, agreement was reached on other points.
On Thursday, a board meeting of the Waqf was held at the Minority Directorate auditorium located in Bhagat Singh Colony. Uttarakhand Waqf Board President Shadab Shams said that all the proposals were passed unanimously. The board decided that Wi-Fi facility will be made available to the students in modern madrasas.
Formation of two committees for operation
Laptops will be made available to the students for online studies. Two committees were formed to run the madrasas. Apart from this, there is a dispute going on for a long time in Kavanli area regarding the temple established near the cemetery. Mutual settlement has been agreed by the board. ICICI Bank has signed an agreement for vocational training, which will provide self-employment opportunities to the next generation abroad.
There will be discussion with CM to release the land
A committee has been constituted to get rid of the occupied land of Waqf. The matter will be discussed with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The committee formed to monitor the Kaliyar Mela will monitor the donations. Told whatever decisions have been taken in the board. Immediate action will be initiated against them.
