The humidity has increased in Doon due to the play of hide and seek between the sun and clouds. However, heavy showers are continuing in the outer areas of the city. Showers with strong winds also occurred in Doon late in the evening.

Highway situation in Garhwal

It rained in Chamoli on Friday night. The weather became clear on Saturday. National Highways under Chamoli district including Badrinath Highway are normal for traffic. Badrinath and Hemkund Yatra is going on. The weather is clear in Uttarkashi district. Currently, traffic is smooth on Gangotri and Yamunotri National Highway. During Saturday morning, Gangotri National Highway remained closed for about one to two hours near Naluna and Yamunotri National Highway near Dabarkot. Two connecting roads are blocked in the district.
Heavy increase in the water level of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers
On the other hand, due to rain in Rudraprayag district of Garhwal on Saturday, the rivers took a terrible form. There has been a huge increase in the water level of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Both the rivers are in spate. People living on the banks of the river have been asked to be cautious.
Heavy rainfall in Kumaon
