Winter Line Carnival has started in Mussoorie from Wednesday. A traffic plan has been issued for the convenience of the tourists coming to this carnival. Along with easy movement of vehicles, places have also been identified for parking. According to the traffic police, vehicles coming from Tehri bus stand towards Mussoorie will be diverted towards South Road from Anupam Chowk in Landour. Whereas vehicles going towards Dehradun will be sent from Civil Hospital. Vehicles coming from Landour side can be parked in MDDA parking.

Vehicles going towards Dehradun will be diverted towards Picture Palace bus stand via Municipality Office. Vehicles going from Library to Picture Palace will be diverted from Ambedkar Chowk towards Camel’s Back Road and sent towards their destination from Picture Palace barrier via Green Chowk, Kuldi Bazaar.
This is how you will get relief from traffic jam
Vehicles going from Mussoorie to Dehradun will be diverted from JP Band towards Barloganj via Kincraig and sent towards Dehradun from Jharipani. Vehicles going towards Picture Palace will be diverted towards Barloganj via Vinevarg Allen School from Bada Modh. In case of traffic pressure at Library Chowk, vehicles going from Dehradun towards Camptiphal will be diverted from Zero Point towards Camptiphal via Spring Road, Kala School to Harnam Singh Marg.
Entry of heavy vehicles will remain closed
In case of traffic pressure in Mussoorie, vehicles will be diverted from Gajji Band towards Hathi Paan. Entry of heavy vehicles coming to Mussoorie from Vikasnagar, Doon and Suakholi will be restricted during the day. Mall Road from Green Chowk via Jhulaghar will be one-way towards Library Chowk. Vehicles will be banned from Ambedkar Chowk towards Garhwal Terrace, Jhulaghar Mall Road. In case of pressure of vehicles in Kuldi Bazaar, vehicles will be diverted from Bratt Wood Hotel and sent towards Clark Hotel.
Drones will be monitored
This time, the police has also made preparations for monitoring through drones in case of heavy traffic pressure. According to the police, through drones it will be seen where there is more pressure of vehicles and from where these vehicles can be removed. This will help a lot in dealing with the traffic jam.

Parking for 250 to 300 small vehicles and 20 big vehicles in the parking located at Kempty Road.
Parking for 70-80 four-wheelers and 100-120 two-wheelers below the Town Hall.

Police and transport department inspected
To ensure smooth traffic arrangements during the Winter Line Carnival, ARTO Rajendra Vitaria, Traffic CO Ajay and Kotwal Manoj Aswal inspected the entire Mall Road and the bottleneck point of the city and gave instructions to the subordinates. ARTO Rajendra Vitaria said that if a scooter is found illegally in a no parking area, the license of the concerned person will be canceled along with issuing a challan. CO Traffic Ajay said that the traffic system and parking were inspected under the Winter Line Carnival. Hotels which have their own parking were also inspected.
