Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the two-day global investors conference starting at 11:30 am today at the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun. The Prime Minister will also start the grounding of schemes worth Rs 44 thousand crore in the inaugural session. The theme of this conference has been kept as Peace to Prosperity. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government has completed the investment target of Rs 2.5 lakh crore set for the Global Investors Conference. The process of signing agreements with industrial groups is in progress. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will participate in the concluding program of the conference.
All preparations of the state government are complete
The state government has completed all preparations for the global investors conference. Union Ministers Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Mansukh Mandaviya and Dharmendra Pradhan are proposed to attend the conference. On the first day of the conference, industrialists Gautam Adani, Sanjeev Puri, Sajjan Jindal as well as Baba Ramdev will participate as key speakers. Ambassadors and heads of missions of Spain, Slovenia, Nepal, Cuba, Greece, Austria, Japan, Saudi Arabia and Czech Republic will participate in the investor conference.
Schemes worth Rs 44 thousand crore will be implemented
The government has set a target of implementing 100 percent agreement this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start the grounding of schemes worth Rs 44 thousand crore during the inaugural session. This includes 16 schemes related to construction sector, tourism sector and infrastructure development. This is the first time when plans will begin to be implemented on a large scale on the very first day.
Pushkar Dhami will welcome
Apart from the inaugural session, four other sessions will be organized on the first day of the conference. It includes sessions related to industry, education, health and real estate. Six sessions will be held the next day on December 9. These include tourism and civil aviation, infrastructure development, forest development and allied sectors, AYUSH and wellness, cooperation and food processing and concluding session. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will give the welcome address in the program while Chief Secretary Dr SS Sandhu will give the vote of thanks.
Road shows were also held in London and Dubai for the Investor Conference. Before organizing the Global Investor Conference, the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted four international road shows and five road shows within the country. In this, road shows were conducted in London and Dubai. Besides, the government also organized regional conclaves in Haridwar and Rudrapur so that small and big entrepreneurs of the state could be encouraged to invest.
