PM JANMAN Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today release the first installment under PM-JANMAN scheme to one lakh beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana- Gramin. During this period the PM will also interact with the beneficiaries of the scheme.
Who will get this amount and how
Pradhan Mantri Tribal Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) has been launched especially for vulnerable tribal groups. Its benefit will be available to 75 tribal communities and primitive tribes living in 18 states and union territories of the country.
What will you get under the scheme
Under the scheme, along with converting the settlements of poor and backward people into safe housing, they will be provided with clean drinking water.
Along with this, these people will be provided access to education, electricity, roads, health, nutrition, telecom connectivity and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Under this scheme, Van Dhan Vikas Kendras will also be established, so that forest produce can be traded. This also includes installing off-grid solar power systems and solar street lights for 1 lakh houses.
Its objective is to improve socio-economic conditions.
What is the budget of PM-JANMAN
Let us tell you that this scheme was started on 15 November 2023 on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day. For this the government has kept a budget of Rs 24000 crore. 9 ministries have been included under this.
