Pushkar Singh Dhami government will now rapidly finalize the preparations for the Uttarakhand Global Investors Conference. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the inaugural ceremony of this two-day conference to be held from December 8 at FRI, Dehradun. The government has received its signals from the Prime Minister’s Office, but now it is waiting to get the program of Prime Minister Modi.
Rescue operation affected due to workers getting trapped in the tunnel
Even before the conference, the government has already signed investment agreements worth Rs 2 lakh crore with investors from India and abroad. Preparations for the Global Investors Conference in the state have been affected due to the rescue operation being conducted for workers trapped in the Silkyara Tunnel. Encouraged by the safe coming out of the workers and the success of the rescue operation, the Dhami government is now going to be on the front lines once again regarding the investors’ conference.
PM Modi will attend
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also participate in the conference on the first day. However, the state government is yet to receive the Prime Minister’s program from the PMO. Work is being done rapidly for the grounding of the agreements reached so far in the road shows under the Investor Conference. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to industries and other departments in this regard. The state government has so far signed investment agreements worth Rs 2 lakh crore. Emphasis is being laid on taking it to Rs 2.50 lakh crore. Efforts are also being made to give concrete shape to the investment proposals during the two-day conference, so that the agreement can be implemented on the ground.
Instructions to adopt single window system
Departments have been asked to adopt single window system. Due to this, investors will not have to wander. Keeping the conference in mind, the government has also taken steps to simplify the policies for investment. Priority areas for investment have been decided. The Chief Minister also emphasizes that investment proposals should generate more employment.
Industries Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey said that preparations are being made for the investors conference. Important decisions have been taken to make the event a success. Necessary steps have also been taken for grounding of investment proposals. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to participate in the inauguration of the conference. The Prime Minister’s program has not been received yet. It is being awaited.
