
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached New Delhi on Sunday on a three-day tour. He will meet Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday. During this, he will discuss the works of the National Highways being run by the Union Ministry of Roads and Highways in the state as well as the proposed works of ropeway and tunnel. On Tuesday, the Chief Minister will attend the organizational meeting of the BJP.
In an informal conversation with reporters in New Delhi, Chief Minister Dhami said that he has taken appointment with Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. During this meeting, along with the old works, he will request for the approval of the works of the Central Reserve Road. Apart from this, will also propose new schemes.
He said that during his stay in Delhi, he would also attend the regular meeting of the party’s MPs and organization on Tuesday. On the question asked regarding cabinet expansion, the Chief Minister said that this time the meeting will be focused only on the points of development.
Every effort is made to deal with the disaster, a large area of Haridwar is affected by the disaster:
On the question regarding the situation of disaster due to heavy rains in the state, the Chief Minister said that there is a situation of flood and disaster in the state this rainy season. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have already been informed in this regard. The government is providing essential commodities to the people affected due to this adverse situation.
Necessary arrangements are being made for electricity, water, PMGSY roads, national highways, treatment of patients and pilgrims coming to Chardham. He said that a large area including Khanpur, Laksar, Narsan block of Haridwar district has been damaged due to waterlogging. About 21 thousand hectare area has been affected. It has been decided to declare it disaster prone. Electricity bills and bank installments have been asked to be postponed for three months in the affected area.
Resolution of crime-free and corruption-free Uttarakhand government:
In response to another question, the Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working on the resolution of crime-free and corruption-free Uttarakhand. Strict action is being taken against corruption in the state. Steps have been taken to check corruption in recruitment examinations.
Over 80 arrests have been made. Strict anti-copying law has been made. On the question related to Uniform Civil Code, the Chief Minister said that the expert committee is working on its draft. The state government will get it soon.
