Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that in order to strengthen the economy of the state, the government aims to double the GSDP (Gross State Domestic Product) of the state in five years. He said this on the occasion of laying the foundation stone and inauguration of schemes costing more than Rs 8 thousand crore at the Chief Sevak Sadan on Sunday. He said that an action plan is also being made as to what initiatives can be taken in the form of best practice and innovation by the year 2025 in each district. GST collection in the state has reached 23 percent. Besides, the amount of loan taken every year has also decreased. He said that efforts are also being made to conduct religious tourism throughout the year in the state.
Tool kits distributed to workers
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also distributed tool kits to the workers registered in Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Board. He said that the government is taking serious steps for the upliftment of unorganized sector workers in the state.
Dividend check of Rs 5 crore handed over to Chief Minister
During the program, Energy Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram and Pitkul MD PC Dhyani also handed over a dividend check of Rs 5 crore on behalf of Pitkul to the Chief Minister. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also launched the prepaid meter scheme of Energy Corporation costing Rs 2027 crore.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister provided allotment letters of solar energy projects to various entrepreneurs as well as allotment letters to the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Solar Self-Employment Scheme.
