The government has given a big relief to the candidates in the Lekhpal recruitment examination being conducted again on February 12 by the State Public Service Commission.
On the basis of admit card, the government had already given orders for the facility of free travel in the ordinary buses of the Transport Corporation on the day of the examination, but now by amending it, not only the period of free travel has been increased but also other states Candidates coming from Uttarakhand will be able to travel free of cost in the bus.
Till now this relief was only within Uttarakhand from Uttarakhand, but on Friday night the government amended it.

Free travel from the place of your destination to the venue of the examination:
Candidates will be able to travel free of cost from their destination to the examination venue on any day from February 9 to 12, while on the way back they will be able to avail it from February 12 to 15. This will benefit candidates from hilly and remote areas, who take one to two days to reach the city where the exam is held.
The Lekhpal recruitment exam was held on January 8 this year, but four days after the exam, its paper leak was exposed by the Special Task Force. After this the exam was cancelled.
On the orders of the government, the State Public Service Commission is conducting its examination again on February 12. The government had given orders to provide free travel facility to the candidates giving relief from the examination fee.
In this sequence, the Transport Corporation management had issued an order two days ago on the day of examination to the candidates for free travel in ordinary buses on the basis of admit card. Now on Friday, amending this order, a new order was issued.
In the order issued by Deepak Jain, General Manager of the corporation, it was told that the facility of free travel will be valid from February 9 to February 15. If a candidate is from Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh or Haryana, then he will also be able to travel free of cost in Uttarakhand Transport Corporation buses. All divisional and depot managers were ordered to inform the operators in this regard.

Free travel facility will be available from three days in advance:
