
The condition of two of the six injured in the tragic accident in Chamoli due to electrocution is critical. While all the other injured are undergoing treatment at the trauma ward of AIIMS. Five other injured from Chamoli were brought to AIIMS by heli ambulance on Thursday afternoon.
All of them have been admitted to trauma emergency. In the afternoon, Health Medical and Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat reached AIIMS to inquire about the condition of the injured. Tharali MLA Anil Nautiyal and Tharali MLA Bhopal Ram Tamta were also present with him.
Left arm and leg had to be amputated:
The injured who came on Thursday include 24-year-old Abhishek Pal, 49-year-old Pawan Singh Rathore, 20-year-old Jaideep, 41-year-old Dhirendra Rawat and 27-year-old Subhash Khatri. Trauma surgeon Dr. Neeraj Kumar told that necessary medical tests of these injured are being done. However, none of the injured is in critical condition.
On the other hand, out of the six injured admitted on Wednesday, the condition of JE Jal Sansthan Sandeep Mehra and Sushil has become critical. Doctors said that due to severe electrocution, the muscles of Sandeep Mehra’s left arm and left leg were completely burnt.
To save his life, his left arm and left leg had to be amputated. Because his kidney was also getting affected by this. He is currently on ventilator in the trauma ICU. While Sushil is not fully conscious due to head injury. Although his condition is already improving.
Both injured under the close supervision of doctors:
He said that due to the seriousness of the situation, both these injured have been kept under the close supervision of doctors and their treatment is going on. While among the other injured, the condition of Narendra Lal, Anand Kumar, Ramchandra and Mahesh Kumar is stable. All of them are being treated in the trauma ward.
