Use of mobile phones is banned within 50 meters radius
Due to huge crowd during Chardham Yatra, there have been reports of chaos at some places. In such a situation, the government has taken a strict decision and banned the use of mobile phones within 50 meters of the temple premises of the four Dhams. At the same time, pilgrims going on Chardham Yatra without registration are being returned. It has come to the notice of the Police Department that there is a huge number of YouTubers and bloggers on the Yatra routes, who are spreading misleading news on their YouTube channels and blogs, which is tarnishing the image of the state. Police Headquarters has issued guidelines to STF to keep an eye on these and take action. Additional Director General of Police, Crime and Law and Order, AP Anshuman said that Senior Superintendents of Police and Superintendents of Police of the districts have been directed to prepare a list of persons spreading misleading propaganda related to Chardham on the internet media. Action will be taken against such people.
