Weather torture continues in Uttarakhand. The incessant rains have put people’s lives in danger. The road leading to the National Highway is closed due to landslide. Rivers are in spate due to heavy rains. From Haridwar to Rishikesh, the water level of Ganga has reached near the danger mark. On the other hand, talking about the upper areas, due to the torrential rains, everything from the house to the apple orchards has been washed away in water.
This period of heavy rain is not going to stop yet. Heavy rain is going to occur in many districts of Uttarakhand on Thursday as well. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert regarding this. Whereas in some districts, schools for children have been closed in view of the security.
Alert in five districts:
The Dehradun-based Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert on Thursday, anticipating heavy rainfall in Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar. The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of torrential rain in these districts.
Heavy rains continue in Uttarakhand, 249 roads blocked; 9400 passengers stranded due to disruption of Chardham Yatra route
