The Health Department will operate 50 health ATMs for the examination of the passengers coming on the Chardham Yatra. These ATMs were received by the department in the year 2023 under CSR. Now the Health Department itself is maintaining and operating them. Along with this, screening points are also being made on the travel route, where the blood pressure, sugar and oxygen level of the passengers will be checked. Chardham Yatra is going to start in the state from 30 April this year. The emphasis of the government is on providing better health facilities to the passengers. Many steps are being taken for this. Health advisory has been issued for the passengers, while doctors are being deployed on the travel routes. Along with this, about 50 health ATMs will also be activated on the travel route.
Facility of more than 70 tests in Health ATM
These health ATMs have the facility of more than 70 tests. With this, basic cardiology, neurology, pulmonary testing, gynecology, basic laboratory testing can be done. These include primary tests like pulse rating, BP, oxygen, blood sugar. Testing is possible in less time with Health ATM and the report is also available in very less time. Along with this, it can also check blood pressure, sugar, weight, height, body temperature, amount of oxygen in the body, body mass index, metabolic age, bodyfat, dehydration, pulse rate, muscle mass etc.
When the Health ATMs were installed in the year 2023, at that time the matter of their malfunctioning also came to the fore. However, now the department has trained the staff for this and the Health ATMs which had malfunctioned have also been repaired. One advantage of this is that if any problem is found with a passenger in the Health ATM, then expert doctors can be consulted through telemedicine. This facility will be available 24 hours. Secretary Health Dr. R Rajesh Kumar said that the convenience and health care of the passengers is the top priority of the department. All necessary steps are being taken for this.
