Following the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, it was decided in the meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Radha Raturi that Goonda Act will be imposed on the persons caught in repeated incidents of setting fire in the forests and the property of such persons will also be confiscated. The Chief Secretary said that strict action should be taken against officers and employees who are negligent in preventing forest fires. To control forest fires, the proposal of cloud seeding with the help of IIT Roorkee is also being considered.

Many teams engaged in extinguishing the fire
This team of disaster management officers, DFO, police officers and fire watchers are engaged in extinguishing the fire. Yuvak Mangal Dal, Mahila Mangal Dal, PRD personnel, Home Guards, PAC jawans and self-help groups will be deployed to assist them. Action will be taken against the persons involved in the incidents of setting fire under the Forest Act and Wildlife Act. Along with this, action will also be taken under the recently passed Personal Property Compensation Act. He said that water sprinkling is also being done with the help of helicopters in the areas affected by forest fire.
