
Amidst the dry season in Uttarakhand, bright sunshine is shining from the mountains to the plains. The heat has reached its peak with the mercury rising. Especially in the plain areas, the maximum temperature has increased by three to four degrees Celsius, due to which life is affected. In the plain areas, the heat of the hot wind is spoiling the health, while in the mountainous areas, forest fire is spreading rapidly. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain dry in most areas of the state even today. There is a possibility of increase in maximum temperature by about one degree Celsius. A heat wave warning has been issued in the plains. After this, the weather may change in the hilly areas of the state from Tuesday. There may be thundershowers at isolated places and hailstorm and gusty winds in low lying areas.
The sun was shining brightly since morning
On Sunday, there was bright sunshine in Dehradun and surrounding areas since morning. The temperature reached its peak in the afternoon and the heat was unbearable. Even in the evening, the gusts of hot wind kept making one sweat. The maximum temperature in Doon remained near 39 degrees Celsius, which is four degrees Celsius above normal. Along with this, the minimum temperature is also continuously increasing. The weather in the hilly areas is pleasant in the morning and evening, but the scorching sun is piercing during the day. According to Bikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Center, today the weather may remain dry in most areas including Dehradun. However, fresh western disturbance is likely to become active in the Himalayan region on Tuesday. Due to which the weather patterns in the state can change.
