The Chief Secretary said that an action plan has been made to prevent fire incidents. District Magistrates have formed teams in all the districts. This team of disaster management officers, DFO, police officers and fire watchers are engaged in extinguishing the fire. Yuvak Mangal Dal, Mahila Mangal Dal, PRD personnel, Home Guards, PAC jawans and self-help groups will be deployed to assist them.
Action will be taken against the persons involved in the incidents of setting fire under the Forest Act and Wildlife Act. Along with this, action will also be taken under the recently passed Personal Property Compensation Act. He said that water sprinkling is also being done with the help of helicopters in the areas affected by forest fire.
