To keep the traffic system of the capital smooth, SSP Ajay Singh himself took to the streets and took charge. Not only this, along with the traffic police and CPU, he also deployed the police force deployed in his office, apart from the police station, outpost and police station, in improving the traffic system. Due to Christmas Day being a holiday on Monday, many people had gone out for sightseeing to the tourist places of the capital. At the same time, to celebrate the New Year and Winter Carnival, people from various states are reaching Mussoorie and surrounding tourist places via Dehradun city. Due to this, the pressure of vehicles on the city roads had increased.
On Monday, due to high pressure of traffic system, all the police officers of the district were present at the main intersections and main roads to manage the traffic system. SSP Ajay Singh reached Dilaram Chowk at 6 pm on Monday evening and continuously monitored the traffic. In traffic management, apart from traffic police, CPU, forces from police stations and Senior Superintendent of Police office have been deployed on duty. SSP Ajay Singh said that due to the large number of vehicles on Rajpur Road, there was traffic pressure, but there was no mention of long jam. All hotel and resort operators have been asked to park visitors’ vehicles in their parking lots. For this, the traffic police has been directed not to allow any vehicle to park on the roadside. If a driver parks the vehicle incorrectly, it will be towed immediately.
