Uniform Civil Code is going to be implemented in Uttarakhand soon. This has been confirmed by the Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami himself. CM Dhami said that we have made all the preparations and it will be implemented this year. On implementing UCC in the state, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami says that we had formed the UCC committee while making a promise to the people of the state in the 2022 assembly elections and taking a pledge to implement the uniform civil system. The people of Devbhoomi elected us and we have resolved to fulfill our promise.
The committee will submit the draft on February 2.
CM Dhami said that the committee has completed its work in the state and the UCC committee will submit its report to us on February 2. After receiving the report, it will be brought to the cabinet and after that action will be taken in the state. “The committee formed to prepare the draft of the Uniform Civil Code will submit the draft to the state government on February 2. We are determined to maintain the original form of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.”
Assembly session will be called
CM Dhami said that UCC will be presented in the Assembly to make this an Act. By calling an assembly session, the government will implement the Uniform Civil Code in the entire state. Let us tell you that implementing Uniform Civil Code in the state is a priority of the government. Now rapid steps are being taken in this direction. The committee constituted under the chairmanship of Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai (Seni) has prepared the draft of the code.
