Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that Uniform Civil Code will be implemented soon in Uttarakhand. He has tweeted this information. Earlier, CM had said many times that he would bring Uniform Civil Code law in the state.
In a tweet, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami wrote that as per the promise made to the countrymen, today on June 30, the committee formed to prepare the draft of the Uniform Civil Code has completed its work. Soon #UniformCivilCode will be implemented in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Jai Hind, Jai Uttarakhand!
Law may come into force in July:
After taking oath as CM, Pushkar Singh Dhami had announced that he would implement Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand. After this, he had also said several times from the stage that Uttarakhand would be the first state in the country where Uniform Civil Code would be implemented. Experts believe that this law can be implemented only in July, because the CM had talked about implementing this law many times in July.
Since then, the drafting committee was engaged in preparing the draft of the law regarding this law. At the same time, the Congress had raised questions about this law several times. Many big Congress leaders had opposed this law to be implemented in Uttarakhand.
