The Uttarakhand government has added more to its achievements. On Thursday, the efforts of the Dhami government of the state, which is going on with the aim of including it among the leading states of the country, have started to pay off. In this episode, the innovative experiments done in the field of fisheries have been appreciated at the national level. For this, Uttarakhand has received the Best State Award in the category of Himalayan and North Eastern states. As soon as this award was received, there was an atmosphere of celebration in the whole state. It is being seen as a big achievement. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has congratulated the Fisheries Department and fish farmers for this achievement. He said that the government is making many efforts to increase the income of farmers and livestock farmers. Its results are now visible. This award will work to boost the morale of the fish farmers. With this, people in the coming times will be able to find their future in this field as well. Union Minister of State for Fisheries Development Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh presented this award to Uttarakhand Fisheries Department Secretary Dr BVRC Purushottam at a function organized by the National Fisheries Development Board on World Fisheries Day in Delhi on Thursday. Secretary Purushottam said that continuous efforts are being made to make fisheries an important source of livelihood development. Trout farming is being promoted in the hilly areas of the state, while other fish species are being promoted in the plains. More than 1400 trout raceways have been built so far for trout farming. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, an aqua park and wholesale market are also being built in Udham Singh Nagar district. A contract has been signed between local fishermen and ITBP for fish supply. Along with this, many facilities have been provided to the fishermen. The state has received this award as a result of all these experiments. Receiving this award is a big achievement.
