A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Forest Conservator Dr. Dhananjay Mohan regarding the progress of Forest Fire Uttarakhand mobile app at the state level. In which Divisional Forest Officer of Haridwar Vaibhav Kumar Singh gave a presentation regarding the mobile app and dashboard in the control room. Based on the experiences of forest fire management in the past years, it was decided by the Forest Department that the forest fire information management system in the state should be modernized and linked to digital services. Information can be exchanged on a real time basis through the Forest Fire Uttarakhand mobile app and dashboard. Which will reduce the response time taken to prevent forest fires. Through this IT system, GIS mapping of more than 1400 crew stations has been done in the Uttarakhand Forest Department. Through the mobile app, any person and tourist can also send information about forest fire directly to the control room of the Forest Headquarters through geo-tagged images.
